If you are new to Renegade Hoof Boots then please continue reading below as well as browse this information site to help you decide if Renegades are the right choice for you.
Renegade® Hoof Boots are perpetually produced in the USA and can be purchased from your hoof care professional or factory direct. Should your hoof care professional not be a Renegade Dealer, please encourage them to contact us about distribution.
Renegade® Hoof Boots are capable of very high levels of performance but were specifically designed for naturally trimmed hooves which exhibit a low heel, a short toe and a proper mustang roll. If your horse has high heels, long toes and flared and ragged hoof walls with sharp edges, boot performance and life may be compromised. While the boot is not hard to use, it’s generally not ready go right out of the box and may require adjustment of the cables and straps. Please review the adjusting and installing pages to be sure you are comfortable with cable adjustment and boot installation procedures.
We are not a marketing company but instead a manufacturing company who does little formal marketing and as such we are extremely interested in your success as most of our sales are via word of mouth advertising from our happy customers. If you experience any boot performance issues we ask that you contact us and help us help you via email photos and conversation. We can resolve 99% of boot performance problems in this way.
Warranty information: You may exchange your boots for a different size within 30 days of purchase. There is also a 30 day boot performance guarantee or your money back, upon return of the boots (but you must allow us to first help you with boot performance issues). Lastly, 90 day warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. In any case that you need to send boots back to us, please be sure they are clean, as there will be a $5/boot washing fee if not, thank you.
Due to conditions beyond our control, there is no warranty for tread wear. A properly moving horse which lands heel first can expect from 300 to 600 miles which varies depending upon the way the horse moves, the type of terrain ridden upon and the speed traveled thereto.
If your horse lands toe first or toe heavy, you may experience significantly less milage in the toe region and more wear and tear on the boot structure. A horse should not be moving in this manner and boot damage or excessive tread wear related to said movement is the fault of the horse and not the hoof boot. There is no warranty for tread wear and no warranty for structural damage caused by a toe first landing.
Consult with a hoof care professional for information on how to encourage a heel first landing.
